Providence, R. I. – March 2014 – On Wednesday, May 7th, 3 pm to 6 pm, the Governor Henry Lippitt House Museum is hosting a Spring Social.

Carrie Taylor, Director, invites all to attend, saying “This will be a festive event to enjoy the grounds and explore the museum. There will be fun and goodies for all. Please bring your kids, a friend, and join your neighbors!”

Lippitt House, a high style Victorian mansion, was built by industrialist Henry Lippitt and his wife, Mary Ann. Completed in 1865 and lived in by members of the Lippitt family until 1979, it was given to Preserve Rhode Island to be operated as a museum.
