The following is an updated summary of the roadway improvements proposed within the area of the Thayer Street and Brown University. The tentative schedule (weather dependent) is as follows: Please note, we have restricted the night work as follows in the permit. “You are hereby permitted to commence work at 1:00AM on Monday, August 18, 2014 on Thayer St. from Waterman St. to Cushing St. only. Work on Thayer St. from Cushing St. to Bowen St. will not be performed until after 7:00AM due to the higher concentration of residential dwellings. We also request that paving operations begin at Waterman St. and progress toward Bowen St. to minimize the noise in the residential area during overnight hours. Idling trucks shall be restricted to Thayer St. (Waterman St. to Cushing St.) and not be present on the residential side streets connecting to Thayer St. during the 1 AM to 7 AM time period.” We are trying to limit impacts to all parties and ask for your continued patience. Monday night will complete construction work at the night in the area with the exception of the placement of pavement markings which will have minimal noise impact.
